The Republic School District is closed on Wednesday, June 19th in recognition of Juneteenth Day.

Looking for something to do this evening? Great! C'mon down to the High School gym and catch some summer league basketball! Varsity Girls play Oroville at 5 pm; Varsity Boys at 6pm and JV Boys vs. 6th grade AAU team @ 7 pm. No charge for admission! Just bring your family and your neighbor and c'mon down for basketball action! See you there!

Happy end of our school year we look forward to 2024-2025. We have two positions open. A full-time continuing paraeducator and a 1-year temporary paraeducator. 📢 Important Back-to-School and Fall Athletics Information! 🏫🏈 The new school year begins on September 4th, and our football season kicks off on August 21st. 🔴 Immunizations, Physicals, and Emergency Care Plans: Due Dates: All required immunizations, physicals, and emergency care plans must be up to date and turned into the school prior to August 21st for football participants and September 4th for all other students. Importance: These documents are crucial for our students' and athletes' safety and well-being. Last week, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from Curlew, Keller, and Republic received lessons on safe paddling and boating practices from the Washington State Parks Safe Paddling program. Over 70 students were provided with properly fitted life jackets for use during the upcoming summer months. Additionally, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife visited Curlew Lake and provided fishing poles for the students to use. The students were able to fish off the dock while learning about the basics of safe fishing practices. The ROAR program would like to thank Rob Sendak, Derek Van Dyke, and Alyssa Smith from the Washington State Parks Safe Paddling program, as well as Tyler Bahrenburg from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

School is out for summer!!! Thank you Republic staff, students, and families for another fantastic school year! Next year's calendar is available on our district website and we want to wish everyone a fun and safe summer break! The school district office will be open M-Th 8:00-4:00 through August!

Miss King's kindergarten class had a farm experience last week during their ROAR Adventure at the K Diamond K Guest Ranch. While at the ranch, the students had the opportunity to pet baby animals, explore a cave, and learn how to milk a cow. The ROAR Program would like to thank Kathy McKay for inviting the students to her ranch and for sharing her experiences of ranch life.

Last week's ROAR Adventure had Mrs. Campbell's and Miss Bushnell's 1st grade classes giving back to their community by planting flowers around town. The 1st grade began growing the flowers in early March and has been learning about the life cycles of plants. The ROAR program would like to thank Mari Jo Olsen for donating potting soil and giving her time to help with this project.

On Tuesday, June 11, the Republic School District will host a meet-and-greet so students can meet their next-year teacher. This is also an excellent opportunity for 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade families to meet the Middle School teachers and hear about next year's elective offerings. The school will be open, and teachers will be available from 9-Noon. We hope to see you on Tuesday.

Reminder...Tomorrow (Friday) and Monday are 11:30 student early release days. Monday is the last official day of classses for ALL students.

Reminder to Parents! If you have a student athlete who wants to participate in school sanctioned summer sports, they will need to have a current sports physical on file. Promotions: There will be a Pre-K celebration today, June 3rd, at 1:30. Kindergarten Promotion will be Wednesday the 5th at 1:30 in the elementary cafeteria. The 8th grade promotion will be on Thursday the 6th at 6 PM in the High School Gymnasium. We hope to see many of you there!

Congratulations to Mr. Winter's 5th grade class for having the top attendance for the 2023-24 school year! They celebrated with ice cream and roller skating! Way to go students!! #CommunitiesInSchools
