Congratulations to our Lady Tigers who took home the win in tonight’s Championship game against the Cougars! Republic played in a two day Christmas Tournament hosted by the Curlew School District.

Congratulations to these students who were inducted into the National Honor Society on December 7th. To be considered for membership into N.H.S., students must meet the criteria of the four pillars which are: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character. The recent inductees are (L-R) Isabel Stinson, Lindsey Short, Cailey Lott, Aleena Maycumber, Sarah McGaffey, Brooklyn Campbell and Trey Cromwell. The first order of business for these new N.H.S. members will be to help put together baskets of food for the needy in our community!

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, Tomorrow! Republic's Junior and Senior High Winter Concert will be held on Dec. 9th in the High School Gym. Starting at 5:30 pm there will be a Rock Band performance followed by a 6 pm Concert Band and Choral performance . The Music Department is quite excited to showcase the hard work of their student musicians. Hope to see everyone there!
Monday morning December 6th our new full time bus driver will begin driving the Lambert Creek/Rabbit bus route, please be out at your stop 5 minutes early to help her out with her first day.

The annual Republic School District employee sponsored Senior Citizen Christmas dinner is scheduled for December 11. This year will be a little bit different than in the past. You will need to call the Republic School District to order a meal. We will be delivering meals to senior citizens within the city limits. Other seniors who live outside the city limits are welcome to stop in front of the Republic Elementary School to pick up your meal to go. Meals will be delivered or available for pick up from 11:30-12:30. We want to show our appreciation for our area senior citizens who make Republic their home. The meals will be ham or turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad and dessert. Republic school employees donate food and money each year to help make this possible. Hopefully next year we will be back to a sit down down meal. Please call 775-3173 by December 9th to order a meal. Include your name, phone number and address your choice of ham or turkey and any dietary restrictions of allergies.

Wrestling Season is here! If you have an 8th-12th grader interested in wrestling; please fill out the paperwork and give to Mrs. Fletcher and then meet your coaches! Girls will practice from 3-4:30ish and Boys will practice from 3-5 pm. Let's Go Tigers!!

Tomorrow morning at 8:20 am, there will be a Pep Rally held outside of the High School to honor the Volleyball Team as they head to the State Tournament at the Yakima Sundome! There will also be a procession at 8:30 am down Main Street so feel free to the line the street and give them a good luck wave as they make their way to the Sundome! It's a great week to be a Tiger folks...a great week!
